Responsibilities
- Facilitate evidence-based substance use and misuse prevention curricula that follow the five components of Social and Emotional Learning.
- Deliver presentations at schools and community sites on how to live healthy and productive lives.
- Conduct awareness campaigns to reduce the use and misuse of alcohol, nicotine, marijuana, prescription drugs, and other substances.
- Participate in community events for families.
- Help lead a five-week summer program for elementary and middle school students.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education, social work, communications, criminal justice, psychology, or related degree is preferred.
- Passionate about working with children, youth, and families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Good written, verbal, and public speaking skills
- Basic knowledge of computers, relevant software, and use of technology.
Additional Information
- Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with evenings and Saturdays sometimes required.
- Daily travel to program sites is required, including outside Corsicana and Waco.
- Pay ranges from $30,000 to $45,000 per year, depending on education and experience.
